Promote a safe and welcoming learning environment for students that ensures the individual needs of each child is met, leaving them feeling understood, empowered, and valued.
My mission statement includes quality education (SDG4) and reduced inequalities (SDG10) because I want to help educate children in a way that is fundamental to their overall well-being. I want to cater to the needs of individuals who may need extra help in certain areas so all students have an equal chance at learning and succeeding in life. When I reflect back on my academic experiences as a child, the teachers who made the biggest differences to me and my peers were the ones who tried to be as welcoming and inclusive as possible. Creating an environment where students feel a real sense of community is extremely important because it encourages students to feel compassion for one another, and be willing to take risks in order to grow and learn.
